30A Sunset SessionsWhen the sky does the work and we just show up
There's a reason sunset is the most requested session on 30A.It's not just the light, although the light is something else entirely. It's what happens to families at the end of a long beach day. The kids are sun-tired and loose. The parents have finally exhaled. Nobody is performing anymore. They're just together, warm and golden and completely themselves.
That's when I do my best work.
Sunset sessions run during the last 60 minutes of light, when the sky shifts from blue to amber to that deep, burning gold that makes everything it touches look like it was meant to be photographed. We'll start with the full family while everyone still has energy, and as the session moves and the light changes, I'll pull away the layers… couple portraits, kids running the shoreline, the quiet moments that happen when nobody's watching.
By the time the sun hits the water, you'll have forgotten I was ever there.
The sky only looks like this for about 20 minutes. I'll be ready.
